Fall 2015 Issue

Hello Everyone and welcome back.

I hope you all enjoyed a summer of food, fun and family. As I write this in my office I feel the fall air coming off the ocean. It’s a little different then the heat we experienced a month ago.

Summer has been a slow time for most of us just doing our day to day jobs and enjoying life.

Now that September is here, we hit the ground running.

The board will hold its first meeting early in the month with plenty of topics to be discussed.

The summer saw CCFCC Central VP travel to the ACF conference in Orlando and represent the federation along with other CCFCC members. A great time was had by all our delegates.

I would like to congratulate CCFCC Junior Team Canada as they traveled to Orlando. The team went head to head against the ACF junior team and came away with a victory. They brought home a gold & silver medal and the win. The teams are well on their way  to Germany next year. The IKAJC & the senior team are progressing with their preparations.

He has the support of Earls restaurants across Canada plus many fund raisers on the horizon.

In October, the CCFCC senior team will be featured at the Sysco national partnership meeting. They will be showcasing their food & commitment to our partners .

The Bocuse team is well underway for their preparations for Lyon doing fundraisers across the country and securing new partners.

The CCFCC/Saputo junior culinary exchange was a huge success this summer in Saskatchewan.

The 4 CCFCC junior went on many great adventures made many new friends and cooked lots of great food.

Thank you to the 2 CCFCC Saskatchewan chapters and all the great volunteers who made this program a great success.

Now that it is September it is time for your local meetings. Please let us know what you are doing on a local level. We want to know what is going on out there.

We know that some CCFCC chapters have elected new board members, so please make sure our national secretary has the correct contact information for all your board members so you may receive updates from the national.

Looking ahead October 20th is international Chefs day please get out and do something in your community to support our day.

Next year the CCFCC national conference is back in Windsor. I am looking forward to going back to that city. The hospitality there is second to none.

Keep cooking.

Living the dream,
